Amber Penney is a Michigan native currently living in a suburb of Chicago Illinois. Amber is a self-taught mix media artist working with acrylic paints, pastels, and acrylic markers. She draws her inspiration from music, poetry and nature; creating her own bold paint pallets and designs. She edits color combinations, texture and patterns to create a mixed media collage that will eventually become a finished art print. Her art mostly is modern minimalistic pop art with vivid bright colors. Mixed media medium is her passion because she loves to paint a mixture of expressionism, abstract, minimal, pop and mid century combined. Her subject matters range from musicians, animals, portraits, poetry and abstract emotion.
