During my childhood, I delved into numerous mythological tales, finding fascination in stories that elucidated the origins of the four seasons or the nomenclature of flowers. The piece of art I've created, titled "Persephone's Garden," pays homage to the captivating goddess Persephone. Abducted by Hades, the God of the Underworld, from her mother Demeter, the goddess of harvest, Persephone's story is one of a poignant reunion. In essence, Hades and Demeter reached an agreement, allowing Persephone to return each spring to her mother. Consequently, the blossoming of flowers in spring symbolizes Demeter's joy at the reunion with her daughter, creating a cyclical celebration of nature's renewal.
